Making my first pie and crust from scratch!

May 2008 076

Here's the classic 1950's cookbook I chose to learn how to make a pie crust from scratch.  I think there were 11 pages of directions, including lots of cool photos.

What a chef! Don't you just love those old cook books? The biggest problem I have with them is converting the weights into metric, although this is much easier now that I have a converter on my phone! Ah, the wonders of modern technology!

Great to hear that your mum is doing well. I will continue to pray for her improved health. It's a shame she doesn't have time to build her strength before chemo again, but if its what she needs, then its what she needs. I pray that it all goes well.
